Meet the Coaches  

Ben Failor

Head Freshman Coach

Coach Failor is a 2003 graduate of Quincy High School where he played football. After high school, he attended Western Illinois University and graduated with a degree in Law Enforcement. He has worked in the mental health field for the last fifteen years, and earned his Masters of Education in Counseling. Coach Failor works as the Attendance Liason at QHS. For the last twelve years, he has been a registered IHSA and MSHSAA football official. Last year, (2022), his crew officiated a state final. Coach Failor’s family includes his wife Lesley, and sons Connor and Carter.


Brad Bowen

Assistant Freshman Coach

Coach Bowen is a 2010 graduate of QHS and was on the 2009 team that qualified for the state playoffs. Brad made his mark on defense for the Devils starting at nose guard and playing every game with his customary “constant motor”. He went on to play at Culver Stockton College for one season. Coach Bowen has previously coached for the Quincy Youth Football League for 9 seasons. His family includes wife, Amber and fur child, Josie.
