News and Notes: Week two of camp is well underway and the Devils are working hard. Camp will be extended 30 minutes each day to make up for Tuesday's cancellation due to weather.
Friday, July 23rd will close out VW fundraising discount card sales. Varsity players keep in mind if you sell 20 cards you get your jersey for free. Friday also marks the discount card blitz day starting at 5:00 p.m with players meeting at Flinn Stadium to kick off the blitz. The blitz will run until 7:00 p.m. and after the blitz is a team dinner grades 9-12 at the stadium catered by TGIF’s.
Change in the schedule: Wednesday July 28th the Blue Devils will go to a 7 on 7 passing tournament at Quincy University starting at 9:00 am against Fort Madison and Hannibal. Coach Little would love to take 3 teams (two varsity and one consisting of freshman and sophomores.) Because of the passing tournament it means the summer weight testing will be Friday July 30 from 8:00 am -12:00 pm. This testing is for the prestigious 1,000 lb. club awarded at the end of the year banquet.
